Theories to support the effectiveness of home remedies in the treatment of toenail fungus

NCBI explains about one of these home remedies, “The results of our study indicate that this new topical antifungal containing vitamin E and essential oils of lime, oregano, and tea tree is an effective and safe option for topical therapy of onychomycosis.”

Most home remedies have been tried and tested by people. However, there is not much evidence that supports the efficiency of home remedies alone.

You should consult a doctor immediately if your case worsens and you see your toenail becoming worse.

Relying only on home remedies for a longer duration can be dangerous as the infection may penetrate and the fungi may enter your bloodstream.
